Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar is the Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh, and a distinguished academic leader with over 30 years of experience in teaching, research, and higher education administration. He previously served as the Vice Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, and held additional charge as Vice Chancellor of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology and Chaudhary Bansi Lal University. A former UGC Professor of Physics at Panjab University, Chandigarh, he is recognised for his expertise in theoretical and computational condensed matter physics and nanotechnology. With over 170 research publications, 2,500+ citations, and guidance to 14 doctoral scholars, Prof. Kumar has made significant contributions to research, academic governance, and higher education policy in India.
