Prof. (Dr.) Hemant Sharma is the Vice Chancellor of GNA University, Phagwara, Punjab, and a distinguished academic leader with over 26 years of experience in higher education. His expertise spans strategic planning, outcome-based education (OBE), accreditation, institutional rankings, research, financial sustainability, and academic leadership. A strong advocate of NEP 2020, he has played a key role in curriculum design aligned with OBE, NCrF, NHEQF, NSQF, and interdisciplinary education. He serves as Chairperson of NAAC peer teams, an NBA auditor, and a Ph.D. examiner for several universities. Prof. Sharma has published extensively in Scopus, ABDC, and Web of Science-indexed journals, authored academic resources, and developed MOOCs under the Ministry of Education. He is a recipient of the Indian Achievers’ Award 2022 and Rashtriya Shiksha Ratan Samman 2022 for excellence in education.
