Prof. Prabhat Ranjan is the Vice Chancellor of D Y Patil International University, Pune, and former Executive Director of TIFAC, India’s Technology Think Tank under the Department of Science and Technology. With two decades of experience in nuclear fusion research, he made significant contributions to the performance of India’s Tokamaks. From 2002 to 2013, he pioneered work in Embedded Systems and Sensor Networks, including wildlife tracking and lunar exploration for Chandrayaan-II. A proponent of open-source technology, he has developed assistive solutions for individuals with severe disabilities using body, voice, and brainwave sensors. Passionate about technology for societal impact, Prof. Ranjan also manages creativelearning.in and noba.org to promote innovative learning.
