Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-Kashmir, is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator with over three decades of service at the university since 1993. Renowned for his leadership in agricultural and biotechnological research, he has held key positions including Director Planning & Monitoring, Head of Biotechnology, and Head of Animal Genetics & Breeding. He has led over 17 externally funded projects, including the ā¹35 crore World Bank-funded IDP-NAHEP. Prof. Ganai has also contributed to national scientific programs with WHO and the Government of India, focusing on biotechnology and biological standards. A visionary leader, he continues to advance SKUAST-Kās mission in education, research, and innovation, fostering excellence and sustainable agricultural development.
