Prof. Narendra is a distinguished academic leader and technologist, currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Government of Assam, Guwahati, since 2022, and as Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Indore since 2009. He has previously held senior leadership roles as Director of VNIT Nagpur and Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University. Earlier, he served at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and trained scientists for DRDO under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. A PhD alumnus of IIT Bombay, Prof. Narendra has supervised 44 PhD scholars and authored over 387 publications, with research spanning machine learning, network security, and optimization. He is a senior member of IEEE and ACM, and President of the Indian Academy of Mathematics.
