Krishnanjan Chanda, born into a family of educators, was born and brought up in Guwahati, where he continues to live and work. He completed his Master’s degree in English Literature from Guwahati University, followed by a Bachelor of Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in English Language Teaching. He has been associated with South Point School, Guwahati, since 1984 as a Post Graduate Teacher of English. In 1996, he was elevated to the position of Principal, a role he continues to hold. Under his leadership, the school received CBSE affiliation and was upgraded to the Senior Secondary level with Humanities, Science, and Commerce streams. He has championed holistic education by integrating sports and the visual and performing arts into the core curriculum.
