Dr. M.S. Lakshmi Priya, IAS, is Secretary to the Government of Assam, Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department (SEED), and holds additional charges as Mission Director of the Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) and Registrar of Assam Skill University. A 2024 Fulbright Scholar from India, she earned a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard University, driven by a strong commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities. An accomplished Indian Administrative Service officer, she has served in several key leadership roles including District Collector of Bongaigaon, State Mission Director of the National Health Mission, Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department, and Commissioner of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation. She is a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration for her transformative work on Project SAMPOORNA. Dr. Lakshmi Priya continues to champion social equity through systemic reforms, skill development, and vocational empowerment initiatives.
