Dr. Ajanta Borgohain Rajkonwar is a distinguished academician and administrator, currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Assam Women’s University, Jorhat, since September 2021. She is a Professor in the Department of Commerce, Dibrugarh University, and has earlier held key leadership roles as Dean, School of Commerce and Management Science, and Chairperson, Centre for Management Studies. With specializations in Accountancy and Taxation, Entrepreneurship, and General Management, Dr. Rajkonwar has authored over 90 research publications and guided 30 PhD and 23 MPhil scholars. She has successfully contributed to several national and international research projects in techno-economic modelling, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Widely recognized for her academic leadership, she has served on UGC, NAAC, and UNESCO committees, with a strong focus on women’s capacity building in higher education.
