Dr. M.P. Poonia, Campus Director at Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI), is a visionary leader with over 37 years of experience in technical education, policy-making, and institutional development. Formerly the Vice Chairman of AICTE and Director of NITTTR Chandigarh, he has been instrumental in advancing quality, equity, and innovation in India’s education system. A Mechanical Engineer with degrees from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur, and IIT Delhi, Dr. Poonia has authored 13 books, 80 research papers, and led major AICTE and DST projects. His initiatives include outcome-based curricula, ATAL Academies, and textbooks in Indian languages. Recipient of national awards, he continues to drive excellence and innovation at BFGI, empowering students as future global leaders.
