Dr. Nitya Dhingra

Dr. Nitya Dhingra is an academic, media researcher, and creative practitioner specialising in advertising, digital media, and cultural studies. She holds a Ph.D. from Punjabi University, Patiala, and is UGC NET qualified in her discipline. Her research explores television advertising, subliminal symbolism, media theory, social change, media ethics, and advertising practices. She has published several research papers, including work examining the psychological impact of colours on human behaviour, emotion, and cognition. She is also the author of “Psychology of Colours,” exploring the cognitive, emotional, and persuasive dimensions of colour. Alongside academia, Dr. Dhingra has experience in scriptwriting, video production, and media development. Her creative work includes directing and scripting the award-winning science documentary “Sun of Punjab.” A recipient of the ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship and University Gold Medal in Journalism and Mass Communication, she brings together research, creativity, and storytelling.
