Prof. Sandip S. Deshmukh

Prof. Sandip S. Deshmukh is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Dean, Student Welfare Division (Institute-wide) at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. With over 25 years of academic and research experience across India and the UK, he specializes in sustainable energy systems, thermal sciences, and intelligent manufacturing. A Ph.D. from BITS Pilani and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Surrey, he has led major initiatives in student welfare, industry partnerships, and global collaborations. His research spans funded projects, patents, and doctoral supervision. Prof. Deshmukh is passionate about fostering innovation, interdisciplinary research, and holistic student development while advancing academia–industry linkages and sustainability-driven education for national and global impact.
