Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Babu

Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Babu is an institution builder and academic leader focused on advancing academic excellence, strategic collaborations, accreditation and institutional performance. Currently serving as Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs), he brings expertise in academic governance, international partnerships, quality processes, rankings and research development. During his tenure at Shiv Nadar University, he contributed to achieving Institution of Eminence status and led initiatives in accreditation, data management and process automation. As Department Chair, he oversaw the development of 12 advanced laboratories, faculty recruitment, procurement and departmental operations. With a strong background in mathematics and engineering, his research focuses on metamaterial-based antenna design, RF/microwave device miniaturisation and slow-wave structures. He has also contributed to curriculum development and interdisciplinary education. His leadership approach centres on transformational institutional growth, research impact, global engagement and continuous improvement in higher education.
