Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar

Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar is an accomplished academic leader with over two and a half decades of experience spanning industry, teaching, research and institutional leadership. Currently serving as Director Academics at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, Mohali, he leads curriculum design, outcome-based education and academic excellence initiatives. He holds a Master of Engineering from Punjab Engineering College and CDAC Mohali and a Ph.D. from IKG Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. A Fellow of IETE and Senior Member of IEEE, Dr. Kumar has authored over 85 research papers, holds multiple patents and has edited academic books. He has led successful NBA and NAAC accreditation initiatives and established the Mitsubishi Electric India–Factory Automation Centre of Excellence at CGC Landran. His contributions have earned several academic and research excellence awards, including the IEEE YESIST12 2026 Vibrant Pilot Award.
