Dr. M. Jayaraman

Dr. M. Jayaraman is the Principal of Velalar College of Engineering and Technology, Erode, and a distinguished academician with over 30 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, an M.E. in Production Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. His research interests include metal joining, metal casting, and rapid prototyping. Dr. Jayaraman has published over 35 research papers in reputed journals and presented an equal number at national and international conferences. A recipient of research grants from UGC and AICTE, he has successfully guided eight doctoral scholars and actively contributes to professional bodies including IE(I), ISTE, IIPE, and ISSE, while championing academic excellence, research, and institutional development.
