Dr. R. Asokan

Dr. R. Asokan is the Principal of Kongunadu College of Engineering and Technology and a distinguished academic leader with over 38 years of experience in teaching, research, and institutional administration. He holds degrees from Bharathiar University, Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani, Pondicherry University, and earned his Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai. Dr. Asokan has been instrumental in securing Autonomous status, NBA accreditation, and NAAC accreditation for leading engineering institutions, significantly enhancing academic quality. He has guided 15 Ph.D. scholars, published over 100 research papers, presented 117 conference papers, and secured ₹1.2 crore in research funding. A sought-after speaker and mentor, he has delivered over 60 invited lectures and continues to promote research, innovation, and academic excellence through his leadership and scholarly contributions.
