Prof. Dr. Sama Venkatesh

Prof. Dr. Sama Venkatesh, Professor of Pharmacognosy at G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad, holds a B. Pharm and M. Pharm from L.M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad, and a Ph.D. from Osmania University (2005). With over 32 years of teaching and research experience, he has guided 60 M. Pharm and 3 Ph.D. scholars. A recipient of the Rajnibhai V. Patel Pharma Innova Award (2013–14) and Telangana’s Pharmacy Teacher of the Year (2017), he is recognized for his research on enhancing antihyperlipidemic properties of statins using natural bio-enhancers. He has published 70 research papers, presented 20, reviewed for reputed journals, and has 1,529 citations with an h-index of 21. His students have received numerous national-level awards for academic excellence.
