During an interaction with CEOs of space-sector startups, Modi said the growing confidence shown by these companies in the government reflects the sector’s expanding potential. He urged industry leaders to remain focused on their efforts and contribute towards building an environment where global talent views India as a preferred destination to develop careers and pursue opportunities in space technology.
The Prime Minister highlighted India’s competitive cost advantage, availability of skilled talent and growing culture of risk-taking as key strengths of the country’s space industry. He said the combination of these factors could enable India to emerge as a major global player in the space sector in a relatively short period.
