“We have specialized labs like the maker space, where students can study societal problems and build prototype models,” says Dr. N V Subba Reddy, Pro Vice Chancellor, CMR University, in an interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSABengaluru #ELSAKarnataka How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Awards in Bengaluru? Yeah, it is good that you are organizing education leadership summits, which integrate management professionals, academicians, and education leaders in one common platform. They share their experiences and discuss the future roadmap for the development and devising ecosystems to benefit our students. This helps prepare them for becoming the next-generation leaders. In that direction, you are doing a wonderful job, and I am happy for that. How are you implementing technology in your institution? I am representing CMR University in Bangalore, and we focus on enhancing our students’ skills, making them well-educated professionals. We also inculcate various skills that are relevant to the industry and higher studies, preparing them to be global professionals who can tackle future challenges. We have a specialized department called the Department of Common Core Curriculum, where we offer skill-based courses, including design thinking, critical inquiry, business skills, leadership skills, programming skills, behavioural skills, and skills to connect with society. We have specialized labs like the maker space, where students can study societal problems and build prototype models. We start this process from semester one for all students, enhancing their skill sets. Any message for ArdorComm Media Group for recently completing its two years journey? Take it forward, because the ultimate beneficiaries should be the students, the next-generation leaders. They should gain confidence, acquire skills, and learn to solve societal problems and tackle future challenges during their campus life. Encourage collaborative work, integration with students, faculty members, and industry professionals. Establish linkages with industry professionals to keep students aware of industry trends and future prospects. Your leadership summit adds value to universities and educational organizations. Prof. Noor Afza, Prof. & Chairperson, Dept. of Studies & Research in Business Administration, Tumkur University, Highlights the Emphasis on Entrepreneurship in the University

“We aim to mentor the students to develop entrepreneurial talent,” says Prof. Noor Afza, Prof. & Chairperson, Dept. of Studies & Research in Business Administration, Tumkur University, in an interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSABengaluru #ELSAKarnataka How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Awards in Bengaluru? I entered here, and I saw the kind of leadership and the way they had organized the systematic way. The kind of feeling that I got is totally different. Here, it is a place where we have created a platform to meet different leaders from schools, colleges, and as well as from the industry. So, there is a blend of all the people, a blend of different ideas and thoughts. It gave a very different feeling for me. Could you provide some background information about your institution and elaborate on the steps you’ve taken under your leadership? I’m a professor, and chairperson of the MBA department at Tumkur University, situated in a place called Tumkur, 70 kilometers from Bangalore. Tumkur University is a State University, and we have 23 departments. This University provides quality education to rural masses because the students we get are from rural areas. We leave no stone unturned to provide them with quality education, focusing on employability. In my MBA Department, we give skill-oriented training, nurture students with experiential learning, and build their confidence to help them secure dream jobs in companies. Does your University also emphasize entrepreneurship? Yes, entrepreneurship is one of the very, very important parts of our curriculum. We provide training as the student enters the department. We start providing training in entrepreneurial skills, and we have an incubation centre. In this centre, we nurture the ideas among the students. We have tie-ups with various institutions, organizations, as well as government offices like CAVES, the KSFC, DIC, etc. We invite these people to our campus, and they come to train our students and conduct workshops for them. We aim to mentor the students to develop entrepreneurial talent. We also have a unique program where we conduct an “Entrepreneurial Week” within the department and campus. During this week, students are completely immersed in entrepreneurial activities. They set up their own offices, engage in business activities, and then share their learning experiences with us. The aim of this initiative is to ensure that at least a few students get the idea that entrepreneurship is not just a risky and challenging path but also one where they can become job providers rather than job seekers. We want to convey to them that they can become successful entrepreneurs and even the wealthiest individuals in the country, as entrepreneurs often are. In this way, we motivate students, especially those coming from rural areas who may have preconceived notions that money is a constraint. Many of our students have gone on to become very successful entrepreneurs through this program. How do forums like this benefit the education sector? These forums are crucial. In today’s world, with technological advancement, they provide a platform to develop students and integrate technology into education. Collaboration with organizations like yours can offer technological support and bridge the gap between academia and industry, helping us meet the changing expectations and grooming our younger generations. ArdorComm Media Group has recently completed two years of its existence, any message or wishes for us? Just two years, and you’ve done a wonderful job. In the days to come, I wish ArdorComm Media Group continuous growth and success in reaching every level of education, from primary to university, benefiting every student. Your services are much needed, and I wish you all the best for the wonderful work you are doing, collaborating with schools and higher education and involving industry professionals. Lots and lots of success for the growth of this organization.

Dr. Malini Dutta, Principal, BGS National Public School, Emphasizes on Karnataka as an Education Hub

“The dynamic and ever-changing mindset of the people in Karnataka makes it an ideal environment for innovation and technological advancements,” says Dr. Malini Dutta, Principal, BGS National Public School, in an interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSABengaluru #ELSAKarnataka How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Awards in Bengaluru? It is an excellent opportunity. When we see these leaders coming together, thanks to platforms like this, it brings together knowledge, thought processes, and the drive to create innovative changes in our schools and campuses. It’s not just about sharing knowledge; it’s also about the amalgamation of knowledge, experience, and competency. This synergy is a boost for us to move forward. Thank you for organizing such events, and thanks to ArdorComm Media for making it happen. As you know, the theme of our event is New Normal Karnataka. What’s your take on this? There is no doubt that Karnataka serves as a hub for education and learning. It’s worth noting that Karnataka was among the first states to adopt the National Education Policy (NEP). Setting aside political agendas, the focus should be on how education policies, coupled with new technologies, innovations, and creativity, can positively impact our children. This impact should extend beyond academics to encompass co-scholastic fields. Karnataka stands at the forefront of educational innovation, largely due to its association with Silicon Valley and the influx of talent and companies from abroad. Notable organizations like De Facto, Aids London, and others have set up operations here, offering recognition and certifications to our students. These certifications, recognized by the government of the United Kingdom, provide our students with a competitive edge. Certificates that hold such value often become key factors in securing scholarships. Karnataka is a preferred destination for innovative organizations and digital technology-based companies. They recognize the state’s potential because of its diverse population and cosmopolitan cities where technology is readily embraced. The dynamic and ever-changing mindset of the people in Karnataka makes it an ideal environment for innovation and technological advancements. So, I think Karnataka is rocking and it will rock in the future as well How are you implementing technology in your school? Technology is integrated into every aspect of our school, from assemblies to classes and skill development. We have one of the highest numbers of technology implementations in our school in Bangalore. We have an Atal Tinkering Lab, and our students have been winning national-level projects for the past six to seven years. We have technology in design thinking, CD Labs, computer education, and even in issuing books through our ERP system. The content library allows students to access practice materials and clear doubts from the comfort of their homes. ArdorComm Media has recently completed two years of its existence, any message for us? Many congratulations! I hope and can see that you are exceeding your own expectations. I have a suggestion: create a separate segment where you exclusively promote schools and students. Highlight the marvellous achievements, innovations, and contributions of students. This encouragement and acknowledgment from media can boost the morale, enthusiasm, and energy of students. Media plays a pivotal role in our democracy, and it should extend its support to students and schools. I look forward to seeing ArdorComm Media more involved in the student and school segments.

Dr. Hemalatha S. Murthy, Principal Director, White Petals Group of Institutions, Shares Insights on Technology Driven Learning

“We gain unique insights and takeaways every time we attend such events,” says Dr. Hemalatha S. Murthy, Principal Director, White Petals Group of Institutions, in an interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSABengaluru #ELSAKarnataka How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Awards in Bengaluru? It’s a great pleasure. I have been associated with Chandan Anand and LinkedIn for more than eight years. They have been organizing tremendous events focused on the process of learning through technology, awareness, and principles of education. These events can significantly impact the transformation of education. As you know, the theme of our event is New Normal Karnataka. What’s your take on this? My take on this theme is how technology, including chatbots and AI, can be implemented in Karnataka. The state has not only Bangalore but also many rural areas. We should strive to make Bangalore a better place using AI and ChatGPT. How are you implementing these new-age technologies in your institution? We have already started incorporating these technologies, and we’re exploring the use of chat GPT to enhance the educational materials provided to students. In forums like this, where we bring together education leaders, EdTech players, and government representatives, how do you think they benefit the education sector? These forums are not about individuals but about a group of people learning from each other. We gain unique insights and takeaways every time we attend such events. It’s about mutual learning and growth. Any message or wishes for ArdorComm Media Group on its 2nd anniversary? I would like to encourage you to keep growing. There’s a lot that needs to reach educators and students through your efforts. Continuous learning and improvement are key. Thank you.

Dr. A. M. Surendra Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Presidency University, Shares Insights on Skill Development

“We incorporate skill development courses into the curriculum, including life skills and soft skills,” says Dr. A. M. Surendra Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Presidency University, in an interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSABengaluru #ELSAKarnataka How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Awards in Bengaluru? I frequently attend this type of education summit, especially in Bangalore, which is an education hub. There are a lot of opportunities, and these events help in understanding the concept of education. They provide a platform to discuss how we can move forward and address concerns with other educators. I’m coming from an emerging University especially in Bangalore where we have more than 16,000 students are there are lot of opportunities which we can discuss with. So, you are making a platform to take care about all our concerns, to discuss with the other educators, so you are doing a wonderful job. As you know, the theme of our event is “New Normal Karnataka.” What’s your take on this? Since Karnataka is an education hub, especially in Bangalore, there are many opportunities. The government has recently allowed five private universities, which adds to the opportunities. This platform provides a great idea about the education landscape, especially in the Karnataka region. How are you implementing new-age technologies in your university? We have incorporated technology-enabled platforms, especially in engineering and computer science. Emerging technology programs like AI, machine learning, and others are already part of our curriculum. We are continuously updating the curriculum to stay current with new age technologies. What’s your take on skill development, and how should students emphasize on skill development? We emphasize skill development from the beginning of our programs. We incorporate skill development courses into the curriculum, including life skills and soft skills. In today’s competitive environment, industry looks beyond just CGPA and values other qualities. So, we mould our students from the beginning to be well-prepared for placements. In forums like this, where we bring together education leaders, EdTech players, and government representatives, how do you think they benefit the education sector? Such forums are beneficial as they incorporate industry and technology trends. I’ve seen discussions on ERP systems, which can introduce us to new features that can be incorporated into our education systems for the benefit of both students and the education community. Any message for ArdorComm Media on its 2nd Anniversary? You are providing a great platform for educators to come together and conduct such events. Your efforts, along with the presenters, are helpful in advancing the field of education, especially in higher education and to meet several good educators also.

Col. (Prof) Y. S. Siddegowda, Vice Chairman, Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Govt. of Karnataka, Discusses Reforms and the New Normal in Higher Education

“We have incorporated all the necessary domains to prepare students for modern jobs,” says Col. (Prof) Y. S. Siddegowda, Vice Chairman, Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Govt. of Karnataka in an interview with Chandan Anand, CEO & Group Editor, ArdorComm Media Group at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSABengaluru #ELSAKarnataka What are the takeaways from today’s event? Today’s event has been highly educative, both inside the hall and outside, the posters and other materials disseminate a wide variety of information. Participants and speakers are in a positive mood, eager to contribute their best, which is crucial for improving both primary and higher education. This will better prepare our students to face the challenges of our era. You hold a senior position in the Higher Education Council. Any special reforms you’d like to highlight under your leadership? Every day, we strive to remain relevant to the current context. We are planning and implementing reforms to prepare our students comprehensively. This includes knowledge domain, ability enhancement, skill development, value practice, and a multi-disciplinary approach encompassing STEM and liberal arts. Our focus is on making our students more contextually relevant. What initiatives has the council taken to enhance entrepreneurship among students? We believe in nurturing entrepreneurs rather than just creating executives. Our efforts aim to empower students to create employment opportunities. Recent startup developments in Bangalore and Karnataka are testament to our efforts. Can you share some key highlights or reforms expected with the implementation of the State education policy? We have incorporated all the necessary domains to prepare students for modern jobs. The education policy reforms are designed to ensure our students are well-equipped for the evolving job market. How does skill development remain relevant in today’s era? Skills, along with knowledge and values, are crucial. We are working towards shaping students’ overall personalities. The theme of our event is “New Normal Karnataka”. What does the term “New Normal” signify to you? The “New Normal” represents the stage where we redefine what is considered normal, abnormal, or subnormal based on contemporary society’s standards. It’s about adapting to change, understanding shifts, and aligning with the current context. There’s a diverse audience here today, including education leaders, policy makers, and corporate representatives. Do you have a message for them? My message is that it is the VUCA world, so in a constantly changing world, the ability to create certainty in uncertainty matters the most. Age is not a barrier. As John Milton once said, “The mind is its own place and, in itself, can make a Heaven of Hell or a Hell of Heaven.” We must empower our youth with the knowledge and skills to bring normalcy to society, addressing its challenges and taking our youth to the forefront of development. Any message for ArdorComm Media Group on its 2nd anniversary? Within just two years, you’ve achieved a lot. I’d like to express my gratitude to ArdorComm Media Group. Education, knowledge accumulation, creation, and dissemination are not easy tasks, especially in a country as vast and diverse as India. Your commitment, zeal, and interest in contributing to society are commendable. You are not alone in this endeavour, and your efforts go a long way in imparting the right knowledge to our youth. Congratulations to all of you for your dedication to this noble cause.

Deepak Agarwal, CEO of Cubs The Preschool & Cubs-Sankalp School, Shares Insights on Modernizing Education in the New Normal

“We are shifting from a rote learning system to a more knowledge-oriented system,” says Deepak Agarwal, CEO of Cubs The Preschool & Cubs-Sankalp School, in an interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSABengaluru #ELSAKarnataka How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Awards in Bengaluru? When we talk about this platform, no doubt this is an unparalleled platform where the industry, academia, and various collegiate people are collaborating and sharing their views and opinions. So, this is one of the best platforms that we are participating in today. There are a lot of takeaways, no doubt. How we look at it is something that matters, and the best part of this event is we get to know where we stand in terms of our practices, exposure, and opinions. When we listen to people who have come here from various walks of life, there are VCs, there are directors, so definitely, we get to know what we are doing correctly and what we are doing wrongly. So, this is a very good platform for anyone like us to come and participate, share their views, and experience. And the second-best thing is when you organize these kinds of events, it is going to give us an exposure to the best practices across the globe. Not only that, but we are getting solutions through various exhibitors that have come to this event. We just now happened to meet one of the exhibitors by the name Digital Ed, which is primarily focusing on collegiate education, including engineering colleges, but they have customized solutions even for the schooling sector. So, this is where we are able to gain some beautiful experience because of Adam Media. So, thanks for organizing this, and definitely, we are looking forward to more such events. As you know, the theme of our event is “New Normal Karnataka.” What’s your take on this? Definitely, the title goes with it, considering the kind of event happening today. There are a lot of new things happening around us today. The buzzword is AI, artificial intelligence. How we are going to collaborate AI with the education system in India is what matters the most. To share one example, we have a highly regarded and highly ranked institution like IIT Mumbai, but as per world rankings, it stands around 149th. What is making an institution like IIT Mumbai rank lower compared to other universities? It is the use of technology. That’s what we are looking at—the New Normal Karnataka is all about collaborating with technology and using it for the overall growth of the nation. To make that happen, we have to learn and implement these things when it comes to technology and education collaboration. So, this is how we are going to look at it when we talk about New Normal Karnataka. How are you implementing these new-age technologies in your schools? We have started using video conferencing tools to bridge gaps, especially when it comes to teaching subjects like the German language. Being from a tier 3 city, it’s not easy to find a German teacher due to various factors. With video conferencing tools, a teacher from Germany can teach our students the language. We are also planning to implement AI-based platforms for our teachers to help them upgrade themselves, not just in teaching students but also in lesson planning and implementing innovative ideas. We are shifting from a rote learning system to a more knowledge-oriented system. ArdorComm Media Group has recently completed two years of its existence. Any message or wishes for us? I really wish ArdorComm Media the best in the practices. Whatever efforts you people are putting in are definitely going to yield results, not only for you but for the entire industry and ecosystem that you are managing. With your kind of efforts and the way you have set up things today, you are going to lead this market for not just two years but even the next 20 years. I wish you all the very best in this endeavour.

Anantha Krishnan B, CEO- Operations, Kalorex Group, Highlights on Technology Implementation, Announces Launch of AI Clone ‘MAYA’

“It is a matter of chance that today, in education, we have launched the AI clone version of Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff. The clone is called MAYA,” says Anantha Krishnan B, CEO- Operations, Kalorex Group, in an Interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media Group at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSANewDelhi #ELSAGurugram How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Award in Delhi? It’s my pleasure being here. As usual, a beautiful event that’s been done up, the New Normal Education Leadership Summit in Delhi. I think ArdorComm Media is doing some path-breaking events with regard to bringing technology into the forefront for schools and other higher education institutions. Great event once again, and a lot of things to learn and a lot of things to know from in terms of what’s happening in the industry and where to go from here on. A lot of exchange of ideas, and a good place to be actually and to learn. The theme of our event is “India Vision 2030.” So, what according to you should be the vision for the school education sector going ahead? Well, we as an organization always believe that change is the only constant in life. Any new thing that comes up, maybe in any revolution that you see, so adaptability is the key thing. With the increase in quality, the speed of adaptability is a second thing. The more you are able to adapt to the latest technologies, the more you’re able to imbibe the new curriculum into the classroom, the more you’re able to blend these technologies with the current requirements of the skills going ahead in the next 10-15 years. We have to do a lot, and time is limited. So, I think technology is going to really help us and assist us. At the same point in time, as we always say, value systems have to be retained and have to be developed in the children so that they become good global citizens. How is Kalorex implementing technology in education? Well, we have been in the forefront of implementing technology at Kalorex from the day that we got incepted. It is a matter of chance that today, in education, we have launched the AI clone version of Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff. The clone is called MAYA. It’s basically towards bringing in new technology peripheries into education and seeing new heights in education. It happens to be the launch date of MAYA today, and I’m happy to be in this particular event to announce the launch of MAYA and the new initiatives that Kalorex is taking in the field of education in integration along with AI, blockchain, and other latest technologies. What’s your take on the digital divide, how can we bridge this gap? If you see a global scenario, we sometimes should be happy that we have come this long way. So, if you see what we as a country have been able to achieve over the last about 10 to 15 years or 20 years, it’s really fantastic. In fact, when the Indian markets opened to the economy of the world in 1991, we were the early ones to adapt the computer evolution. Then when it came to the internet revolution, we were the early ones to adapt to the internet revolution. When it came to digital payments, we are the only ones to adapt to digital payments. Now we are the only implementers of the biometric system for the whole nation. So, we do have an edge of being able to adapt to various technologies as and when things come up. Even with COVID, in a matter of three to five days, I think the whole industry shifted gears and went to new great heights. So, that way we have an edge, we have the ability. The rural India is no longer the rural India as we used to consider it 50 years back. Today’s rural India is very different. They are equally apt with all the latest happenings, all the latest gadgets. But a little more private-public partnership, probably a little more education institution of our kind, they can give a helping hand to the have nots. I think a good collaboration between these kinds of people, we should see our way through. Any message for ArdorComm Media Group on its 2nd anniversary? I definitely would like to congratulate the whole team of ArdorComm Media. Great going, and I think you guys have a lot more to do in the field of education, I would just simply say, keep up the good work. And whatever little we can be of help to you, we’ll be more than happy to do it for you.

Amol Arora, MD of Shemrock & Shemford Group of Schools, Shares his views on NEP Implementation and Role of Teacher Training

“What really helped me and I feel for the country is that it has aligned everybody,” says Amol Arora, MD of Shemrock & Shemford Group of Schools, in an Interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media Group at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSANewDelhi #ELSAGurugram How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Award in Delhi? First of all, thank you for inviting me here, and I’m really happy to be here. It’s an opportunity for me to give back to the community by sharing what I’ve been doing in my schools. I think it’s also a time well spent because I’m not only sharing but also learning a lot. There are so many amazing speakers and a lot of industry presentations where it helps you learn and grow as an individual. It’ll surely help my schools, and of course, you meet your fellow educators. I think socialization is even more important, and we’ve realized how important those social friendships are, especially after two years of COVID. Last year, your conference was all about masks and everything, and today, it’s so nice and relaxing. I was looking forward to meeting everybody, and everyone from the industry is over here today, so brilliant work done there. And of course, in terms of your return on investment of time, I think the biggest one for me was that you guys have shortlisted some amazing vendors here. You have shortlisted some great products for schools and colleges as well. The reason why I came here was that in a short period of time I can just find out partners that I feel are right for my school. I don’t want to spend two hours with each company evaluating what is good and bad. Also, there are things that I was not even aware existed. I mean, you can search for something on Google, I can Google it, but there are things I don’t even know existed. So that’s the best thing that you are getting really updated with things, and I think it’s very, very important for educators to take time out for these summits. I think everyone should come here because you’ll never be free in the school. So please take this one day out to learn, refresh yourself, and I’m sure that will give you so much momentum for at least the next few months. It’s a day very well spent for me. I think it’s one of the best investments of my time. How are you implementing NEP in your chain of schools? The NEP is a vision document. It’s not a policy document. It’s not something that progressive schools have not seen before. So, it’s something that I think we’ve already been doing, and everyone’s working on the same lines anyways. So, this is nothing but an outlining the advantage that NEP has given us for a school chain. We were already doing this for many years. What really helped me and I feel for the country is that it has aligned everybody. Now everybody is saying NEP is the way forward, so now when it comes to hiring teachers, hiring team members, we are all aligned as a country. Otherwise, I have a vision for my schools and what I want, which is that we want you to learn while having fun. They learn by hands-on learning. You have to use multiple ways of teaching – visual, auditory, kinesthetics learners. So, we’re doing all that, but then you get a teacher who doesn’t understand this thing, not aware of this, maybe a school principal who’s not aligned with what you want. She has her own philosophy here. But now because of NEP, the whole country is aligned, and I think that’s where the real value as this document has come. Now it comes to implementation. Governments have always been poor in implementing policies, and that’s what we have to understand that this is what we have to work with. But I think that’s a brilliant document, very well drafted. How well it could implementation, in terms of there are schools where there’s one teacher for class one to eight, only one teacher teaching all subjects, right? So, as a country, we have bigger problems than the NEP will solve. But I think it’s a step in the right direction. I really appreciate this document. I think alignment is the biggest thing that has happened for, for me, and when I’m hiring, I can see everybody’s on the same page. Otherwise, it was a challenge to orient them to my vision. How does teacher training play an important role in this? I think teacher training has always been important, and I think a lot of people underestimate the value of teacher training because it comes down to, who pays for that good quality training. One is just training for the sake of training. If you talk about genuine teacher training, I think a lot of entrepreneurs, school leaders tend to avoid investing in that. Why should I pay? Let the teacher pay. The teacher says, why should I? So, I think we all have to understand that ultimately, tools, technology, gadgets, buildings, what matters is what’s happening in the classroom. And a good teacher, motivated, inspired, well-aware of teaching techniques, which are low-cost teaching techniques, can do a much better job than the teachers sitting in an air-conditioned school, everything five-star, smart board, everything, and she has no idea what to actually do. And how will this work? It is going to happen through training. So, training is an investment, which I really feel sad that no one really values that. And I think that is very, very important. Although if I can be a bit positive on this, but because of COVID, I think it was a big shake-up for everybody that we need to change. And then everybody was invested online. So, now that openness

Hema Harchandani, Founder & Managing Director, Canvas International School, Delhi, Highlights on Technology Implementation in Education

“We cannot escape from technology; it’s an integral part of education now,” says Hema Harchandani, Founder & Managing Director, Canvas International School, Delhi, in an Interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media Group at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSANewDelhi #ELSAGurugram How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Awards in Delhi? The summit is very exciting, and I think we should keep doing these kinds of conferences because it’s an opportunity for every educator to come together on one forum and discuss their experiences in running their schools. We can share how we are implementing learning-based programs and developing knowledge and skills. It’s wonderful, and I’m enjoying it. The theme of our event is India Vision 2030. According to you, what should be the vision for the school education sector going down the line? We have to understand that schools need to create a value system aligned with the goals for 2030 because we are shaping the leaders of the future. The processes and systems must be clearly defined. We need to follow a curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration. The education system should be learner-centric, and teachers should continuously upskill to ensure our children are future-ready for 2030. What’s your take on the implementation of technologies like AI, VR, and MR in education? We cannot escape from technology; it’s an integral part of education now. However, it should be implemented in a blended learning process, both inside and outside the classroom. We need to strike a balance. We cannot tell the new generation to stay away from technology; instead, we should adapt and use it to enhance their learning experiences. This forum brings together education leaders, EdTech players, and the government. How does this benefit the education sector? This kind of forum is very beneficial because it brings together different educators, government representatives, and tech companies. It provides an opportunity to learn from each other. We can incorporate new ideas and technologies into our curriculum and education systems. It’s a platform where we can all learn and grow together. Any message for ArdorComm Media Group on its 2nd? Congratulations to Chandan and the entire team. You guys are working hard, so keep doing what you’re doing, and keep inviting us to these events.
