CBSE Class 12th results out, girls outperform boys

The class 12 board exam results for 2022 were declared today by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The official websites cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in now have the results available. Students can also use the UMANG app, Digilocker, and SMS to check their results.

Board reported a 92.71 percent total passing rate for this academic year. With a pass rate of 98.83%, Trivandrum has emerged as the best performing area. In class 12 board exams, all registered transgender students passed, with girls outperforming boys by 3.29 percent.

This year, JNV schools outperformed KV schools. JNVs have the highest overall pass rate of 98.83 percent, followed by CTSA Schools at 97.76 percent and KVs at 97.04 percent. The school wise pass percentages are as follows, NVs: 98.93%; CTSA: 97.96%; KVs: 97.04%; Govt. Aided: 94.81%; Govt.: 93.38%; Independent: 92.20%.

Based on how well students performed on the term 1 and term 2 board exams, the results of the senior secondary exams have been released. Despite the fact that both term exams were taken offline, term 1 contained objective questions whereas term 2 had subjective ones. The first term’s exams were held in December 2021, and OMR sheets were distributed to the students.

Students who are dissatisfied with their grades will be permitted to take the board’s compartment exams.

In 2021, the CBSE class 12 results were released based on an alternative marking scheme that used the 40:30:30 formula for grade evaluation. The board’s overall passing rate was 99.37 percent, up nearly 10 percent from the 88.8 percent reported the year before. It was 83.4 percent in 2019.
