Dr Alok Roy is the Chairman of Medica Group of Hospitals. Dr Roy just finished his term serving as Chair, FICCI Health Services Committee. He specializes in nuclear cardiology from AIIMS and his passion has been in building and managing hospitals. A social entrepreneur, he established numerous healthcare facilities across the country – Fortis Hospital (Noida), BM Birla Heart Institute (Kolkata), Manipal Heart Foundation (Bangalore), Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (Kolkata) and Narayana Hrudayalaya (Bangalore), to name a few. He conceptualised and is currently running the largest and only one of its kind fleet of ambulances for Road/Street Trauma services in Kolkata, Ranchi and Jameshedpur. Dr Roy has worked towards delivering Quality Healthcare to masses at a very affordable rates through initiatives like Tele health, Project Buddha, Health Hosts, Swasthya Mitra (Health Friends) etc. He has also served as the President of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). Dr Roy was voted as one of The Top 20 Most Influential Healthcare Professionals of India by Indian Express Healthcare.
