Prof (Dr.) Sanjay K. Jha, a widely acclaimed linguist, is currently associated with Amity University as ‘Director of Liberal Arts’, “Head of Amity Centre for Sanskrit and Indic Studies”, and ‘Chairperson of North India’s Karmik Linguistic Association’. Prof. Jha is an alumnus of University of Mumbai, Deccan College, Pune, and University of California, USA for his core specialization in Applied Linguistics. Prof. Jha started his professional career as Research Scientist from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay where he worked for two prestigious machine translation projects called UNL of United Nations University, Tokyo and Wordnet project of Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India. He has taught in several premier universities of Africa like Garyounis University, Libya, Haramaya University, Ethiopia, etc. Blessed with the knowledge of 10 Indian and five foreign languages, Prof. Jha has 102 research papers, five books, and many awards and accolades to his name. Some of his recent awards are Vilaxana Shodh Ratna Samman and Guru International Pride Award. In addition, Prof. Jha is editor-in-chief of three peer-reviewed international journals. More importantly, Prof. Jha is an institution builder, a passionate researcher, a charismatic orator, a shrewd thinker, and a sharp debater of language pedagogy, social issues, and human values.
