Prof. Pravin Mishra

Prof. Pravin Mishra is the Dean of Vijaybhoomi School of Design. He is a communication designer, an award-winning filmmaker, and an accomplished painter. His numerous accolades include ‘National Critics Award’ at the prestigious Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF’04) by Government of India and ‘Best Documentary Film Award’ at Ahmedabad International Film Festival (AIFF’09). An alumnus of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, Prof. Mishra has been a weekly columnist with TOI’s ‘Ahmedabad Mirror’ for over 5 years. He has also been a regular contributor to ‘The Quint’ and ‘The Print’. In 2004, he designed ‘Casa da India’ (House of India) pavilion in the World Social Forum (WSF) in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Pravin has conducted lectures/ workshops/ talks/ screenings at various educational institutes in India including IIMA, NID, MICA, CEPT, IILM Gurgaon, IIITD Delhi, Pearl Academy and CANS Nashik. In 2017, Mishra delivered lectures on ‘Storytelling’ and ‘Visual Communication’ at University of Southern California (USC) and Michigan State University (MSU) in United States of America.

Prof. Rajiv Mishra

Rajiv R. Mishra is an Architect & Urban Planner based in Mumbai. Since 2008, He has been appointed as Principal of Sir J. J. College of Architecture at University of Mumbai. Additionally, since 2015 he has been appointed by the State Government as Director at Directorate of Art – Government of Maharashtra. He has taught for 27 years and has been involved in conducting seminars and workshops on subjects of Architecture Design, City Planning, History and Theory of Architecture as well as on development of Urban Management at Sir JJ college of Architecture. His Special Interests are issues dealing with Sustainable Urbanism, Community Architecture, Heritage Conservation, and Technology in Building Management, Classical Arts and Education of Architects and Planners in a changing society. He has been exploring this field extensively through various research studies trying to bridge the gap between Education and Practice. Mr. Mishra was appointed as Chairman- All India Board for Architecture Education by AICTE Term 2010-13 and Term 2013-16, Chairperson – NBA evaluative committee for Architecture Education 2011-13 Elected Executive Committee Member at Council of Architecture (Term 2012-2015).

Ashish Kulkarni

Mr Ashish Kulkarni embarked on his journey in the field of arts and media in 1985, and is the founder of Punnaryug Artvision Pvt Ltd. He is the Chairman of the AVGC forum at FICCI and a Indian AVGC TASK Force member formed by Government Of India. He has been persistently engaged with AVGC policy makers in India at central and state levels. In the last two decades, Ashishji’s push for state level policies inclusive of AVGC skill development and creation, has allowed for their successful implementation under IT ITES policies or independent AVGC policies in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, West Bengal and Kerala. Moreover, states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat are actively considering the formation of AVGC policies to promote creative skill development and job creation. He is also a governing council member at Media and Entertainment Skills Council. He has designed AVGC curriculum for over 17 universities and many stand alone institutions.

Prof. Anant Chakradeo

Prof. Anant Chakradeo is the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Art and Design Programs) of MIT Art, Design and Technology University, Pune. He has an experience of over 34 years including 6 years in industry and 28 years of working in Education and Training. His education includes PhD in Design, M.E.(Production), B.E.(Mechanical). Prof. Anant is a talented Educationist and strategist who believes in thinking differently and who tries new concepts in education. With a brief background of six years in Industry, Anant has settled in Engineering and Design Education domain for more than two decades. His vast experience includes teaching, developing and managing higher education institutes. MIT Institute of design which was conceived and created by him and his team right from scratch is one such example. He has been working on developing international relations and tie-ups for MIT Group and has travelled extensively to about 17 countries all over the world. He has developed over 15 working agreements for MIT Group of Institutes. Apart from shouldering the responsibility of Pro-Vice Chancellor (Art and Design Programs), he also has an additional charge of Dean, Faculty of Design and Architecture and Director International Relations.

Prof. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai

V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai is the Vice-Chancellor of Somaiya Vidyavihar University. He concurrently serves as the Chancellor of the ICFAI University, Tripura. Mr. Pillai is the Founder President of Human Development Foundation India, a Civil Society Organisation in the National Capital Region, New Delhi. He was President of Mewar University, Chiittorgarh, Rajasthan, India (2016–2018). He served as the Executive Vice-President of the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, Govt of Kerala (2011–2014). Prior to that, he was the Vice-Chancellor of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi (2006–2011). He served as Vice-Chairman & Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Govt of India, New Delhi during the period 2002–2006. He was also the executive director of the National Assessment and Accreditations Council (NAAC), Govt of India, during the period 2000–2002. Being a teacher and researcher in the field of Chemical Sciences, Pillai has held post-doctoral and visiting research professor positions in the University of Tübingen (Mainz, Germany and Lausanne, Switzerland). He has supervised over 50 doctoral students and also holds an international patent for the gram-scale preparation of biologically important peptides.
