The survey, which took place between March 2023 and June 2023 and involved 426 healthcare industry professionals, highlights the increasing integration of AI into healthcare provision.
GlobalData’s latest report titled ‘AI in Clinical Practice – Physician Perspective 2023’ reveals that diagnostics support and treatment decision support are the two most popular use cases for AI tools in healthcare. Practices like oncology are already leveraging AI for tasks such as risk prediction and disease diagnosis. However, it is emphasized that scientific validation is crucial to verify the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated results.
The report also indicates that physicians are increasingly comfortable with using AI for automating administrative tasks, signifying a growing acceptance of AI’s value in streamlining healthcare operations across major pharmaceutical markets, including the US, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, Japan, and China (8MM).
