Q: What’s the main role of your department, and is the Student Welfare department also inclined towards alumni development and apprenticeship?

A: If I talk about the arenas that we are working for in SGT University, especially that is basically the holistic development of the students. It may be in academics, it may be in co-curricular or extracurricular activities.

And as you have put it out, undoubtedly, Student Welfare is also working for alumni connection as well. One of our alumni, that I came to know, is still working with you, that is Aditya Sharan.

Okay, and he’s a very, very dynamic. He was associated with our central alumni core as well as in the students’ council as well, that is known as Prabandha.

So, such type of alumni connect undoubtedly develops our goal to focus on what we need to do for the students, those who are currently available at the university campus, and those who are going after gaining their degrees and master’s beyond the academic degree, beyond the academic curriculum as well.

Q: Would you like to highlight some of the key new courses or very unique courses of SGT University in the digital era?

A: Yeah, definitely. As it is undoubtedly known as a very dynamic university, because 50% of their courses are medical-based courses and 50% are parallel-based. It may be biochemical-based, it may be agriculture-based, or so many courses that are upcoming courses in the education field.

But few of the courses that we need to highlight are, we are having Space Technology in our university. We are also working with Robotic Science. We are also developing so many new arenas based on AI courses.

So, as you are also promoting Digital Bharat, in the same place SGT University is also working.

Q: What does an exposure like this event give when you see a lot of school leaders, higher education leaders and corporates at a common platform?

A: The students who are coming from good educational backgrounds, that is the schools, provide their AI training. When they come to the university level, they definitely are having some of the future plans. They are very ready to start their startups. They are moving towards the bright future, brighter India, and undoubtedly the Digital Bharat campaign will be going to be a very successful campaign, as you are taking it up.
