Lucknow University received an A++ rating from NAAC

After a three-day visit that ended on Saturday, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) gave the University of Lucknow an A++ rating.

Vice-Chancellor Alok Kumar Rai stated during a press conference on Tuesday that the university now ranks among the best higher educational institutions in the country with the A++ grade.

“The successful NAAC visit was only possible due to the unwavering support, constant cooperation and display of excellent work ethic by every single member of the university before, during and after the visit.” Rai said, congratulating all members of the university.

An official stated that the university received a B+ grade during the last NAAC assessment in 2014. The V-C commended Chancellor and Governor Anandiben Patel’s guidance and leadership for the university’s accomplishments.

He also expressed gratitude to Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, and other ministers.

At the press conference, the coordinator for the NAAC, professor Geetanjali Mishra, stated, “The University of Lucknow is the first ever university in Uttar Pradesh to obtain the highest grade of A++ awarded by NAAC. With this grade, the university joins the list of the 28 higher educational institutions with an A++ grade in the country.”

Yogi Adityanath, the state’s Chief Minister, praised the institution and the people of the state for their achievement.  “It is a proud moment for the state’s people and this will inspire other universities to get the highest rating by NAAC,” said the CM.
