“Through the NEP it has been reflected that we should go for a multi-faculty and multi-talented people at the same time they must also have theoretical as well as applied knowledge and in that domain,” says Prof. R. S. Yadav, Vice Chancellor, Baba Mastnath University, Rohtak in an Interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media Group at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSANewDelhi #ELSAGurugram
How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Awards in New Delhi?
I find it very good and also an innovative idea that where a lot of people of the same discipline and also the industry are coming together and providing a new kind of input, sharing our experience also that definitely helps us in motivating and implementing NEP in a more better way and making the academics more useful to the market needs and to the demand of the society.
How are you implementing technology in your university?
Basically, this is an era of technology without that it is not possible to run anything, even academics. So, we are starting from the basic that Wi-Fi campus is there, smart classrooms are there and also computer labs are there, communication labs are there and through different kind of online learning courses we are strengthening the capability of the student for the traditional as well as new innovative courses in the discipline.
According to you, what should be India’s vision for the education sector?
Actually, through the NEP (National Education Policy) it has been reflected that we should go for a multi-faculty and multi-talented people at the same time they must also have theoretical as well as applied knowledge and in that domain. The global networking is very important because without the e-learning and without opening to these kinds of sources it becomes very difficult to update yourself to the global challenges, global market. So, we are projecting that a student should have the job orientation not only at the India scale but also at the global level by knowing all the details or what is happening today.
In this kind of forums where we bring in the education leaders, the tech leaders as well as the government. So, how does this kind of forum benefit the education sector?
This is a great initiative by your Media Group because this provides the real problem-solving platform because the industry people are developing their platform with their input that what kind we benefit but at the same time academic people also let them know what are the problems they have in implementation or they get to resolve the issues and if both combine definitely that will be a very good step in the right direction.
