Dr. Neeta Mahesekar

Dr. Neeta Mahesekar is the Director of North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong, Meghalaya. She has been given the mantle of the Director of NEIAH by the Ministry of AYUSH. The NEIAH Shillong is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. It is the only national institute of India which provides medical education for two streams namely Ayurveda and Homoeopathy. It is situated in Mawadiangdiang adjacent to North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Science (NEIGRIHMS). Dr. Mahesekar has an experience of over 32 years. She completed BAMS from Dr B R K R Govt Ayurvedic Medical College in 1988 and MD – Ayurveda Medicine from Dr B R K R Govt Ayurvedic Medical College in 1992. She is committed to devote her services for the successful establishment of the National Institute, and its dedication to the public at an early date.
