News on Government 6 ArdorComm Media Group Chhattisgarh BJP Government Launches Ambitious Five-Year Free Rice Initiative for Vulnerable Communities

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Chhattisgarh has announced a groundbreaking initiative to provide free rice to impoverished families for the next five years, starting January 2024. The decision, mirroring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to extending welfare schemes, particularly the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, is expected to benefit more than 67 lakh beneficiaries. The Chhattisgarh State Food Security Act will serve as the legal framework for this initiative, ensuring that eligible ration card holders from various categories, including Antyodaya, priority, differently-abled, and single destitute individuals, receive free rice through fair price shops. This bold step, taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, seeks to provide sustained relief to those grappling with economic hardships. The Food and Civil Supplies Department, acting on the Chief Minister’s directive, has issued instructions to all district collectors for the seamless implementation of the program. Ration card holders falling under the Antyodaya and priority categories, in line with the National Food Security Act guidelines, will be entitled to the monthly distribution of food grains at no cost. The coverage period spans from January 2024 to December 2028, ensuring a consistent support system for the state’s most vulnerable populations. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to social welfare and poverty alleviation, addressing the basic nutritional needs of citizens facing economic challenges. As Chhattisgarh takes a pioneering step in providing sustained assistance to its underprivileged communities, the move is expected to garner support and appreciation from various quarters.

“I think textbooks are now outdated, so we need to supplement textbooks with more digital resources,” said Shazia Ahmed, Managing Director, Aryan Presidency School, in an interview with Pratik Ghosh, Content Writer, ArdorComm Media at the ‘New Normal – Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ #ELSABengaluru #ELSAKarnataka How are you feeling to witness the New Normal Education Leadership Summit and Awards in Bengaluru? I’m very excited to be here amongst all these dignitaries, and I’m also in the role as a speaker here on the second panel, where I’m going to share my thoughts about how the pedagogy of the new age should be there and adapt to the new curriculum. So, it’s going to be a fun session. How are you implementing technology in your school? We are slowly progressing towards it because our teachers have disparities in technology savviness, and some are not. So, that disparity we are trying to reduce. We have all smart classes, and we are using interactive multimedia systems to communicate with children. I think textbooks are now outdated, so we need to supplement textbooks with more digital resources. So, we are trying to implement that also in our curriculum. How are you doing the teacher training? We’re having a lot of workshops, teacher training programs. We have introduced something which I’ll be mentioning in this event – we are having peer-to-peer mentorship as well. Somebody who already has knowledge in a particular area comes and teaches other teachers. So, we are doing that, and it’s been very successful in our school. As you can see, in this kind of forum, we bring in education leaders, EdTech players, as well as the government. How does this kind of forum benefit the education sector? Definitely, we have to keep up with the times. These forums expose us to the latest things that are available. Like LMS, which has become now an important thing for all of us to start using new technology. Only when we attend such conferences, we get to know we need to explore new options. What other people are doing, we get to know, otherwise, we are just stuck with what we are doing and we are comfortable in that. Now we see other people doing, and then we are like, “Oh yeah, this is there, and we need to upgrade our schools also.” So, it’s quite informative and inspiring. ArdorComm Media has recently completed two years of its existence. So, any wishes or message for us? Congratulations to you and your team. May you do great in the coming future, and I’m sure you’re going to do. I can already see your presence is so nice, and all the best to you for the future.

Government Calls Special Parliament Session, Sept 18-22, Agendas Awaited

News on Gov 31st Aug 2023 ArdorComm Media Group Government Calls Special Parliament Session, Sept 18-22, Agendas Awaited

The Central Government has summoned a “special session of Parliament” scheduled to run from September 18 to 22, with five sittings in total, as confirmed by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on a social media platform. Joshi expressed optimism for productive discussions and debates during this session, known as the 13th Session of the 17th Lok Sabha and the 261st Session of the Rajya Sabha, during what he referred to as the “Amrit Kaal.” The government has not yet disclosed specific agendas for this session, although some reports speculate that it might involve the transition from the old Parliament building to the new one. It’s possible that this session could commence in the old building and conclude in the new facility. Additionally, discussions about a roadmap for the nation’s next 25 years are anticipated during the session. Notably, the inauguration of the new Parliament building took place while there was significant unrest due to the wrestlers’ agitation. In a previous Monsoon session of Parliament held between July 20 and August 11, tensions ran high between the ruling coalition and the opposition, primarily due to the issue of ethnic violence in Manipur. During that session, a vote of no confidence against the Modi government was introduced by I.N.D.I.A but was easily defeated on the final day, marked by the opposition’s walkout during the Prime Minister’s address.
