The theme of our event is India Vision 2030. What should be the vision for the school education sector going forward? I feel that the vision should be to skill every individual. So, as of now we are doing teaching learning and now we have started to move on that pathway of focusing on every individual but yet a long way to go. So, I would state that skills as per the individual should be encouraged. In forums like this, where we bring together education leaders, EdTech players, and government representatives, how do you think such events benefit the education sector? It does as I already stated that there are a lot of anecdotes and there are a lot of stories and examples that are getting exchanged. The example that I shared in speaking panel today was applauded a lot and probably even if one out of these many would adhere to that it is going to make a huge change. India’s Chandrayaan-3 Moon Landing: A Bold Leap Towards Lunar Exploration

In just a few hours, India’s Chandrayaan-3 is set to attempt a historic soft landing on the moon’s southern pole. If successful, India will join an elite group of countries, including the US, China, and the former Soviet Union, in achieving this remarkable feat. The critical moment for the mission lies in the final 15 to 20 minutes, during which the Vikram lander, carrying the rover Pragyan, will gently touch down. The excitement surrounding this lunar touchdown is palpable, with celebrations and prayers being held in anticipation. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will broadcast the landing live on its website, while DD National TV will begin its live coverage at 5:27 PM. The Chandrayaan-3 mission embarked on its journey from Sriharikota on July 14. The descent of the Vikram lander towards the lunar surface begins at a rapid velocity of 1.68 km per second. It then undergoes a deceleration process, but it’s still almost parallel to the moon’s surface. This phase, known as the rough braking phase, lasts for approximately 11 minutes. The critical transition to a vertical position relative to the moon’s surface marks the start of the fine braking phase. Any slight error in this delicate descent process could lead to a crash or damage to the spacecraft. A soft landing, in essence, involves a spacecraft descending and landing on the moon’s surface in a controlled manner without causing substantial harm to either the craft itself or its scientific instruments. However, there are significant challenges associated with achieving a soft landing, including overcoming high speeds and executing a precisely controlled descent. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Unveils New Curriculum Framework: Board Exams Twice a Year, Best Scores to Count

Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, has unveiled the finalized curriculum framework in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Under this new framework, textbooks corresponding to these changes will be created and introduced for the academic session starting in 2024. According to the NCF, board exams will now be held twice a year, allowing students to retain their best scores. This adjustment aims to provide students with ample time and opportunities to excel academically. It empowers students to choose when to sit for board exams in subjects they feel confident about. The focus of these board exams will shift towards assessing students’ understanding and competency rather than encouraging rote learning and memorization. Another significant change is that students in classes 11 and 12 will be required to study two languages, with at least one being an Indian language. The traditional limitations on subject choices based on academic streams will also be eliminated, granting students more flexibility. Moreover, there are plans for school boards to eventually offer ‘on-demand’ exams. In July, a screenshot of the ‘Twitter Hiring’ feature surfaced, shared by a diligent app researcher. This feature is offered free of charge, allowing organizations to showcase job openings on their respective company profiles to attract top-quality talent. Verified companies will be able to post up to five job listings on their profiles. The introduction of this feature aligns with Elon Musk’s vision of creating an all-in-one platform, offering a wide range of services. According to a recent update from X Daily, a Twitter-related news account, the ‘XHiring’ handle has already begun posting job listings. Currently, these job listings are visible only on the web and accessible to users in the United States. Chris Bakke, the former CEO of Laskie, a job-matching platform recently acquired by Twitter, confirmed that the platform is gearing up to launch a job search feature. This feature will facilitate job seekers in finding opportunities that match their qualifications effectively. In other recent news, X has removed all images posted on the platform between 2011 and 2014. This action is likely related to difficulties in displaying old posts with attachments, such as images and hyperlinks. However, whether this removal was intentional or due to technical issues remains uncertain.

First of all, congratulations to you for a wonderful, amazing, and very insightful event. ArdorComm is doing a wonderful job connecting so many educators. I think this was a very different experience because I have never seen people from the NCERT team staying and talking, sharing their insights the way they have given the inputs. Everybody was in the room, and nobody walked out, and that shows what kind of speakers you had since morning. Amazing panel and warm hospitality. So, congratulations to you. What were the learnings and takeaways from the topics on which the discussion happened? I think you have touched on the core topics, beginning with technology being so transformative and what are the new things transforming in technology. Moving on to the foundation stage, early years, and how we can align with the sustainable goals. What we can do at the ground level, and what are all the stakeholders doing, their best practices and insights. This was just amazing. Moving forward to the K-12 schools, it’s all about how the new education policy (NEP) and National Curriculum Framework (NCF) are being implemented. The best practices shared by schools were amazing. I really liked that slogan “Issue of a tissue,” which was something very interesting. They were saying that a small spark in a child can lead the discussion to a completely new revolution of sustainability and making the planet the safest planet. What is the message for the people who are entering the preschool section and what will be the sustainability advice for them? In the early years, I think if we align sustainability goals, in simple steps, we don’t have to have a very heavy curriculum. With the new NEP, you have the first five years based on play, themes, stories, and experiential learning. If we can combine that along with the Panchakoshas (five layers of development) in a simple way, engaging the community together so that all our pillars and stakeholders are aligned, it becomes easier to implement. We also need to ensure that parents are aligned with our vision and mission. Make them the most important stakeholders who should be aligned with your vision, which is crucial. Any message for ArdorComm Media Group on its 2nd anniversary? As a human being, I think I relate to you more than anything else. The kind of passion you have for the entire organization that brings us here from all the way from Pune, and I think the event and the content, both the combination when it comes together, it becomes worth coming all the way from wherever all the educators are coming from.
