Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff, MD & CEO, Kalorex Group, tells about her AI avatar ‘MAYA’

“My AI version or Avatar is called Maya. Maya itself means illusion. The world is an illusion the sooner we get it-the better we are” said Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff, MD & CEO, Kalorex Group at ArdorComm New Normal- Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023” held in Pune, Maharashtra on 24th November 2023. In such busy schedule of yours, How do you take care of your mental and physical will-being? The coach has to clean himself-herself first! The only way you can maintain your own integrity in what you are doing is by following that. So, there is a distinct process of cleaning that I do to myself to maintain that there is no dust in the way. I think, like you clean your teeth I clean my mind everyday. You related the cricket world-cup in the education in today’s event. How do you collect the real-life incidents to motivate the audience at a large scale? I’m an educationist, I think like an educationist. So, I’m always looking for live lesson. What happened in Ahmedabad on that faithful day of the International Cricket World-cup. It showed me a new picture of India, a picture that is more sensible, a picture that is more sensitive. 10 year ago if this had happened our cricket team would have been bashed left right and centre. Would have only criticized, finding fault would have happened and every individual cricketer would have found it very difficult to show the face. The pride that I saw in that state that day is that standing together for team India. We were there in their victory and we were more than present for their loss and I think that is the real growth of humanity. There is a sea change in what we see this time we stood with them emotionally and that’s beautiful. What is this version of Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff as an AI speaker? How did it came into your mind? My AI version or Avatar is called Maya. Maya itself means illusion. The world is an illusion the sooner we get it-the better we are. So, AI is an illusion in the world and the nomenclature Maya is so beautiful. The reason we did AI was not was not easy. I mean we are into education, not industry. We neither have research ability not the money to do this kind of stuff but it was important that an educational group breaks the barrier to say that research is not only done by industry. So, we started this whole effort to say that we can demonstrate AI and not just talk about it. It started with the initial thought and in 60 days we were able to do it with some internal support and some intern from Gandhinagar that’s it. With this Avatar of Maya, how are you going to take it to the education in order to your pedagogy and curriculum? As part of Kalorex culture one of the very important areas is teacher training or teacher human development my lot of time was personally involved in it. I used to create the course, Go through the scripting, curate it then implementing it. Now, Maya is doing it. My voice is cloned, my face is cloned, I only approve the script and my does all the production. So, my work is reduced to 25% only, that is the power of an AI, which thankfully we have understood. How certain forum helps overall industry to interact and learn from each other? I always maintain that forums like this create collaboration and collaboration is the only way forward. I like your approach to create a unique space, I like your approach for learning the incremental things, I like your approach for making small changes that are impactful and that shows your attention to detail. And when you have attention to detail excellence is a by-product. Personally I like your space because of your attention to the details and your need and ability and understanding to bring about incremental changes. But on overall platform these platforms are very good.

Government Sets January 26 Deadline for Ayushman Card Registration, Emphasizes Self-Verification through Ayushman App

The health department issued directives on Wednesday, urging the completion of electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) for Ayushman cards by January 26, 2024. The initiative aims to ensure that 100% eligible beneficiaries receive Ayushman cards during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. To streamline the process, the health department is actively promoting the use of the recently launched ‘Ayushman App,’ designed for the creation of Ayushman Cards. Notably, the app introduces a unique self-verification feature, enhancing the efficiency of the registration process. Shubhra Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Health), emphasized the importance of e-KYC completion and outlined a strategic approach to monitoring progress. Daily targets will be allocated to districts, and Chief Medical Health Officers (CMHOs) will assume responsibility, particularly in districts with lower performance. Singh highlighted the upgraded features of the new version of the ‘Ayushman App’ developed by the National Health Authority. In addition to e-KYC, the application now includes a self-verification feature and allows the downloading of approved cards, enhancing accessibility and convenience for beneficiaries. Addressing the need for awareness, Singh urged officials to actively engage with the public at the district level, encouraging individuals to participate in the Ayushman scheme. Beneficiaries were informed that they could either download the Ayushman card themselves by completing e-KYC via their mobile phones or seek assistance from the Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) worker in their area. The directive aligns with the government’s commitment to maximizing the reach of Ayushman benefits, ensuring that eligible individuals are enrolled in the scheme. By leveraging technology and promoting self-verification, the government aims to expedite the process, providing seamless access to healthcare services for all Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries from the Socio-Economic and Caste Census (SECC) 2011.

Kumar Chandan Anand, Founder and CEO of ArdorComm Media Group, Reflects on the Media Venture’s Journey and Aspires to Become the Largest Voice of Community Empowerment in India

“We aspire to bring the community stakeholders on a common platform and open the doors for networking and collaboration. We want to emerge as the largest media voice of the community”, said Kumar Chandan Anand, Founder, CEO & Group Editor, ArdorComm Media Group at ‘ArdorComm New Normal- Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023’ held in Pune, Maharashtra on 24th November 2023. ArdorComm Media Group has recently celebrated its 2nd Anniversary, you are spreading across India, tell us about your journey so far and how you’ve emerged as a growing media group? Our journey has been a challenging yet exhilarating rollercoaster ride. Through leaps and bounds, we’ve celebrated numerous successes as well as a few failures. I have enjoyed the journey of success & learned from failures. With 17-18 years of rich experience in the media industry, I then ventured into opening our own media start-up and named this organization ‘ArdorComm Media’. This was during the second wave of COVID, in a situation of uncertainty & challenges, we overcame hurdles and identified it as the opportune moment to commence our own Media Venture. We were connected with the stakeholders in the tech segment in the communities of healthcare, education, human resources, media, entertainment, art & in government sector. We tried to bring all the community stakeholders on a common platform and opened the doors for networking and collaboration. After having a good experience working with renowned media houses in the country and having exposure to regional dailies (vernaculars) & English newspapers, we thought to enter into the Digital space. The motto of our organization is to empower communities with socio-digital transformation. We want to become the Media voice for these 5 communities. As an overview how do you see this journey as a major achievement? Entrepreneurship will develop only when you have experience working in various companies, where you understand the hierarchy, the roles & responsibilities, and the responsibility of chasing targets & delivering them on time. How are you contributing to making your company happy, and your clients & stakeholders happy, that comes with a lot of experience & expertise. When your journey goes into that space & when you are very focused on what you have to become, then, you spend that time enthusiastically & willingly. I was very closely working with the editorial team, advertisement & sales team. So, I know both sides of the table. Also, readership plays a very crucial & important role and everything in today’s scenario is driven by content. If you publish fresh & new content, readers-listeners-viewers get engaged with you & they also motivate you to ask about your next content, blog, or story. Then you feel good about when they like your efforts & work. How do you see ArdorComm Media thriving in India in the upcoming years? As an entrepreneur, my vision for ArdorComm Media involves going deep into the segments, I want to go regional, exploring more cities, and more states. I aspire to invite stakeholders across various domains to our platform to share their experience & knowledge. The ultimate goal for ArdorComm Media is to emerge as the largest media voice of the community, playing a pivotal role in fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the overall growth and development of the industry and society. We want to learn with them, we want to grow with them.

Sudhir Kukreja, Co-Founder, Credence International Schools, Shares the Mission and Vision of Kidzonia

“If you break down the name into three pieces it’s a kids, zone, and India so this is what we combined it together” said Sudhir Kukreja, Co Founder, Credence International Schools at ArdorComm New Normal- Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023” held in Pune, Maharashtra on 24th November 2023. We would like to know more about your organisation how are you expanding and what is your mission of expansion? I think the recent development that has happened in our group is the addition of the Kidzonia international preschools. Immediately after the pandemic, there was a significant need for some high-quality preschools. Because of the course aftermath, Kidzonia has taken a real challenge, I’ll say mandate to set up a chain of company-owned company-operative preschools. Very high-quality premium schools we have launched, about 27 branches in the last 2 years. All these branches are located across Mumbai, and Hyderabad and now we are launching 10 branches in Pune. In another one-two month you will start seeing the presence of Kidzonia in Pune. We already have a very strong presence in Navi Mumbai-Hyderabad where we are operating 12-13 branches each catering to almost 5000+ children. Along with it, we have started Credence International School in Hyderabad and we are now expanding with two more campuses in the coming year. They are already ready and on the verge of being launched and announced everything. So that’s been our journey I think the pandemic has been a blessing in disguise opening up the market for preschools and a lot of demand for the parents for some high-quality stuff. And that is what we identified as the market gap and maybe our group’s well-played store take care of it that is what we are trying to offer. As we know due to NEP now preschools is also coming under a formal structure how is this going to help your growing organisation I think NEP is actually a blessing for us why it is a blessing for us because if you look at the history of India for last 60 years we have never had education in a space or early child education in a space where it had a formal structure where it had a kind of controller or a just like you have a CBSE or NCERT or government of India intervention so this was the first time where nep is actually going to governed the working and functioning of preschools there are going to be guidelines just the way you have for a high school and CBSE affiliation guidelines etc there are going to be guidelines and certain rules to be followed when they are working in schools now in preschools entire thing gets ruled out lets understand their two kind of preschools in the industry people who are doing the best in the industry and the people who are not doing the best and industry people who are taking care of the needs of the children people who are absolutely thoughtful and careful about the what is going what is that child development needs are and what needs to be done if you come to Kidzonia preschool today right from the child safety to his development needs to his psychological emotional development each of these expect is very finally taken care of and this is something which we have working on I wouldn’t say maybe your after any PS coming this it’s a part of our credence International School right from our Inception days in 2012 and today I Think what we have done is we have taken that same standard to a preschool level we probably have a lot to offer to the industry and maybe anybody in the industry wants to come and exchange that knowledge with us we are more than happy to partner. So when the NEP gets rolled out, we will be the best place for people in the industry to kind of show the way around that okay this is what and how it needs to be done. We have done our own research with a lot of industry. Witness people who are a part of our core team, our corporate design team, the curriculum design team, the interior, and everything that’s done there is a lot of thought that has gone into designing and creating and that is the reason the idea of the company-owned company-operated because the moment you start franchising it get because you can’t pass on that same thing to a Thousand partners. That is the reason we are concentrated in Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad we will definitely expand to a different city, it takes time to sweat out over time to get what you intend to do. What is the exact meaning of the word Kidzonia? So if you break down the name into three pieces it’s a kids, zone, and India so this is what we combined it together. It’s a kids zone to have their own life, have their own fun, have their own journey of learning and fun. It’s more often an experiential world for a child so it is way away from the theoretical aspect of it. The way you are doing some root learning or making the children write and stuff like that. It’s about giving a child experience while in his early years of development. We have heard of those development theories and then multiply intelligence but if you take a look of the best of the brands in the industry today while we talk about it a lot. When it comes to the floor of the ground how much intelligence are we talking about in this conference? We are talking about multiple Intelligences and that kind of thing how many preschools have a television in every class? How many teachers are trained on how to handle the audiovisuals and make the children learn from the audiovisuals? We have made it a part of it, We have always said that okay, screen time is

Dr. Ganesh Rao, Director, Pune Business School emphasized on the benefits of Non-tech start-ups

“Ed-tech is very much welcome and we are looking for some wonderful support” said Dr. Ganesh Rao, Director, Pune Business School at ArdorComm New Normal- Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023” held in Pune, Maharashtra on 24th November 2023. Any Ed-tech initiative that you have implemented in your organization and how it helped the teacher and the students? We have LMS in place so that’s one of the initiatives that we are having and it has become more important after the pandemic. Also, it has created a system of education, everything was at the discretion of the faculty now everything can be monitored very closely by the head of the institution. Similarly in admissions, Ed-tech is very much welcome and we are looking for some wonderful support on that because in admissions we are trying to reach a larger audience and our trust has started a very good University called the Pimpri-Chinchwad University with an ambition to serve thousands of students so definitely this kind of Ed-tech can help us reach a larger audience in the shortest span of time and more effectively Any initiative that you took for the corporate engagement? As far as corporate engagement is concerned we have started a master class series. This master class series is the series of corporate executives talking about emerging areas and the jobs of the future. So, we got this corporate executive, and when they talk the students listen. Even in PGDM courses, we have our academic faculty but more importantly days we are laying a lot of stress on corporate faculties or corporate professors, and a number of these people come from time to time and teach master classes. We have it on YouTube, it’s a way to reach a larger audience and we will very much encourage and appreciate the collaboration with your company in which we can take this master class forward to a larger audience in which you can give information about the emerging area or on a neutral perform. Are there any programs for entrepreneurship at your campus? We have tied up with an entrepreneur network now. This network comprises about 1500 entrepreneurs and they visit from time to time and conduct events. Now these events comprise only the start-ups. Now, start-ups are not only about technology, the non-tech start-ups are also very important because we are a country of 140 crores population, where 100 crore are in not-so-urban areas. We have to come into development so it’s not just tech-entrepreneurship it’s important we need basic industries and basic services so we need to encourage this kind of entrepreneurs rather than making it fashionable to stock off tech-start-ups. Non-tech start-ups are also very important. This entrepreneur network is encouraging this type of start-ups because every time we can’t be like the Westerns facing changing Angel investors even in our community, for example in Rajasthan or Gujarat everybody’s pooling into money. We need not follow one hundred percent of the model What west is saying is if you search internally you get everything in place you need to have confidence in them and propagate these values further. We are celebrating our second anniversary this year, any message you wish to share? Fantastic event today I saw a great gathering of people all-star of education and also a lot of companies who are displaying their products now I would request everybody to pay some attention to these wonderful young people who have made a lot of effort in developing these products now they may see all similar but they are unique in their ways and I would request that someday we need to get started with this earlier the better that we start with this companies and collaborate with them because in this way we can be more efficient and use the technology more efficiently I also find these people quite intelligent because started by their generation have better connect I’m sure that this would go in a long way and helping strengthening and develop the education fraternity of our country

India Strives for Global Academic Excellence as President Murmu Addresses Education Disparities

In a poignant address during the 69th convocation of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the noticeable absence of any Indian educational institution within the coveted top 50 globally. Despite India’s rich knowledge tradition, President Murmu urged a critical examination of the nation’s standing in international education rankings. Highlighting the importance of quality education over mere rankings, President Murmu acknowledged that a higher position on global lists not only attracts international students and faculty but also enhances the country’s overall academic reputation. The President urged the academic community to strive for excellence and foster an environment conducive to cutting-edge research and innovation. “India’s ancient knowledge heritage is unparalleled, and it is disheartening to see the absence of our educational institutions in the top global rankings. While quality should be our primary focus, we cannot ignore the fact that rankings play a role in attracting global talent and building a positive perception of our academic prowess,” remarked President Murmu. The President’s address prompted introspection within the academic community, leading to discussions on potential strategies to elevate the global standing of Indian educational institutions. Experts argue that a multi-faceted approach, including increased investment in research and development, international collaborations, and enhancements in infrastructure, is essential to bridge the existing gaps. President Murmu concluded her address by urging educational leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to collectively work towards elevating India’s academic profile on the global stage. As the nation grapples with the challenges posed by the evolving landscape of higher education, there is a renewed commitment to ensuring that India’s institutions not only reflect its rich heritage but also stand tall among the world’s best.

Uttarakhand’s Aromatic Valleys Project Set to Blossom, Promising 70,000 Jobs for Farmers

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced the development of six Aromatic Valleys in the Himalayan state. This ambitious project aims to generate more than 70,000 employment opportunities through medicinal farming, marking a crucial step towards sustainable economic growth for the region. The six Aroma Valleys are strategically designed to benefit over 37,000 farmers, providing them with an alternative and lucrative avenue for cultivation. The aromatic plants to be grown, such as Damask rose, lemongrass, and Japanese mint, are expected to not only yield higher profits for farmers but also mitigate human-wildlife conflicts. The intense fragrance of these aromatic crops is anticipated to divert animals like monkeys, bears, sheeps, and elephants away from traditional crop fields, reducing crop raiding incidents. Chief Minister Dhami highlighted the dual purpose of the Aroma Valleys project, emphasizing its role in promoting aromatic and medicinal farming while contributing to the welfare of farmers. Aromatic farming is poised to offer higher returns compared to conventional crops like wheat and pulses. The demand for aromatic products, particularly in the luxury segment, presents an economic opportunity for farmers to tap into. The Himalayan states of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, with their favorable geography and climatic conditions, have emerged as hotspots for aromatic start-ups. The upper regions, in particular, provide an ideal environment for cultivating medicinal and aromatic plants, transforming the sector into a potential hub for Agri-tech enterprises. Uttarakhand’s commitment to the aromatic sector is underscored by the establishment of India’s first Aroma Park in Kashipur. Chief Minister Dhami, during the groundbreaking ceremony in June, highlighted the government’s efforts, including the establishment of a dedicated institution, the ‘Aromatic Plant Center’ (CAP), for the development of the aromatic sector at the state level. The Aroma Park Policy, 2018, embraced by the Uttarakhand government, reflects its dedication to fostering the aromatic sector. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in December 2021, laid the foundation stone for 46 aroma and perfumery industries in the Kashipur industrial area, further signaling the government’s commitment to the growth of this promising industry.

Dr. Pranati Tilak, Trustee, Chairman- Executive Council, TMV & Chairman, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyalaya, Emphasizes on Technology Implementation in Education

“The important aspect that I like the most about this event is that you have involved right from school educators to high education educationist” said Dr. Pranati Tilak, Trustee, Chairman- Executive Council, TMV & Chairman, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyalaya at ArdorComm New Normal- Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023” held in Pune, Maharashtra on 24th November 2023. We are talking so much about skilling any initiative under your leadership on skilling that your institute is taking? Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth has been deemed to be a university we’ve got colleges as well and we run school as well. Now NEP has been implemented across higher education. Skills and promoting technical skills are an integral part of the policy. We have inculcated those in the curriculum and higher education level. At the school level, I like to emphasize the abilities of the students more on the life skills and the emotional ability as well because I feel that the need of the hour now is not just academic knowledge but also co-curricular activities, sports is an important aspect but at the same time, children need to know about life skills and emotional balance as well as how to deal with situations when things don’t go their way because they’re going to face a lot of competition going ahead and they also have a lot of information and exposure via social media as well. So how do they deal with and process it positively? All these concern needs to be addressed I feel right from the school level as well. Many organizations are now implementing technological services that help in running their process smoothly. have you implemented any of these and how it is helping you? We do have an in-house recording studio and we have been implementing online lectures so right from the time I joined TMV we have been working on online examinations for the past 16 years. So we have been implementing that way before any other institute has done that and because of the lockdown, we were all forced to move to the digital platform so like I said we do have an online recording studio. So we’ve recorded online lectures which are available for the students. Nowadays we can’t process or function without LMS as so those are the things we do have in place. Digital boards are some of the tools that are helping students in higher education as well as school level. At the school level, I think it is much more important because in school the attention span of students is much less as compared to children who are older. So the positive intervention of digital technology is very important in the school level. With such a rich legacy and you being in a responsible position as an educator, would you like to tell us how your group is contributing towards spreading education? As I mentioned earlier Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth runs a school as well as it is involved in higher education as well. So KG to Ph.D. is the dream we’ve seen for the organisation and slowly we are realising it as well now. And we must keep in touch with the times because what the industry requires is what the education institute is required to provide. So bridging the industry-academia gap is very important so those are the kind of facility the exposure that we give to students at the same time what does our country stands for or how are we different from other cultures so most of the time students get glamour struck they want to duplicate whatever is going on in the western country but we have such a beautiful culture and rich heritage for which I’m privileged I am privileged to be a part of the family wherein Lok Manya Tilak did fight for our country his entire life that’s what his  life aim was so that aspect somewhere is getting lost and that is something that at all level we especially from the school level itself we do put in that aspects we kind of try to achieve a blend between traditional and modern education as well so while the facilities what the infrastructure is very modern we do stick to our core values wherein we give the students the solid grounding the roots that they require to fly high.   What was the takeaway from today’s event? So brilliant event today the interaction between  the panel I was part of as well so the given take was so qualitative it was not just for the hack of you know we have come from a panel discussion let me just say update and keep quiet everybody was so involved and so was the audience so I think whenever you attend any event even if it’s a speaker or in the capacity of a noted speaker what is important is what do you take away as well because you expect a little bit of learning from every event and it’s a beautiful way of Bond bonding the community and the important aspect that I like the most about this event is that you have involved right from school educators to high education educationist as well what happens is like emphasize again and again things need to start at the grass fruit level things need to start from the school level so the input that everybody gets from hair if they are implemented in school at that early age I think that the most beautiful aspect that you have done in the Summit. We are proud to say that we have recently completed two years of existence and we are celebrating our 2nd anniversary, any messages or suggestions for ArdorComm Media? You are doing great work and like you mentioned earlier you aspire to go International as well. I hope that I see that very soon and Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth will be supporting you in your future endeavours.

Dr. Harshita Sharma, Founder Director, Brainstorm International, Emphasizes on Importance of Mental Health

“We know that if students are happy, if the teachers are happy, your school will be happy” said Dr. Harshita Sharma, Founder Director, Brainstorm International at ArdorComm New Normal- Education Leadership Summit & Awards 2023” held in Pune, Maharashtra on 24th November 2023. How do you cope up with the busy schedule of yours and take care of your physical and mental well-being? So it’s all about that when you talk about balance and we say that we can balance both personal and professional life, it is not easy so it’s what you need to take care of it is your emotional well-being first and if that is taken care of I think you can manage all the things. So, as a lot of work for your inner self I would say will be emotional will be keeping yourself come and recharging your day with the beginning which is very important with the gratitude and a lot of self-inner work which helps and I think that is important for each and every one and that gives a day ahead head start and that’s where my day begins and a lot of reflection by the end of the day which is very important every single day and once you have that reflection and how can I about that part the next day which is very important and always surrounded by positive people creating that positive energy which is very very important. Can you highlight a little bit about Brainstorm International? Brainstorm International has been empowering teachers by transforming schools, by training through training and the maintain which is there so we know that the teachers are the important stakeholders and the emotional will of teachers is very important we do have literacy lessons that we have for the teachers but apart from that we also have  the emotional lessons for the teachers. So, we  combine both the things with the balanced approach with mindful classroom management strategies and how we can raise the standard of literacy in line with NCF which is taken care of so that we can build a strong foundation, literacy skills and also raise the resilient confident communicators which is very important because we know that if students are happy, if the teachers are happy, your school will be happy and that’s where we need to bring in that channel because along with the Academy part in the emotional will be combined. Any message or suggestion would you like to give to ArdorComm Media, which has recently completed its 2 years journey? ArdorComm Media, you are doing just a fabulous job keep doing that and I think we wish you all the best and will see you in the next international market soon the regional sessions are happening very well you have a good line of speakers always and a lot of insightful  and perfect session. So,  heartiest congratulation all of you and Chandan ji I have seen your journey during the COVID, the way you have come out I think that is something is holding you very strong that what is that you want to give back to the society. I can see that passion in you and the entire team the way you deliver and the way you connect to the people it’s just amazing. So a wonderful platform for all of us educators I think they all come together and have an amazing insight  sharing and learning session which is also important for all educators like because we do need that kind of push and motivation all the time and I think it’s all thanks to the entire team of ArdorComm, best of luck I am sure you will all rock and you will reach the greater height soon.
